TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa drivers should prepare for a temporary detour on Kennedy Boulevard (SR 60) starting this Sunday, July 7th, at 9 pm. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close the road at Willow Avenue to allow CSX to perform railroad track repairs (weather permitting).

Buckle up for potential delays – the closure is expected to last five days.

Plan Your Route:

To navigate around the closure, FDOT recommends using detour routes on West Cleveland Street and West Platt Street. However, anticipate heavy traffic on these alternate roads.

Consider taking Swann Avenue or hopping on I-275 to bypass the closure entirely.
