JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Michael Wayne Burroughs, 46, of Jacksonville, has admitted his involvement in a significant methamphetamine distribution conspiracy, according to a statement from U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg.
The guilty plea could result in a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of life imprisonment for Burroughs.

Federal authorities launched an investigation into Burroughs’s drug activities in 2022, utilizing a confidential source to purchase pure methamphetamine directly from him on three occasions.
Further investigation in 2023 revealed Devan Hall as one of Burroughs’s suppliers. Between April and June 2023, agents observed multiple drug transactions between Hall and Burroughs in Jacksonville. Both men were arrested in July 2023.

Hall also pleaded guilty to the same conspiracy charges and is currently serving a 10-year federal prison sentence, handed down on January 8, 2024.
