TAMPA, Fla. – The Jackson In Action 83 Foundation, in partnership with the Florida Blue Foundation and the Tampa Bay Lightning Foundation, proudly announces its newest program, “Mind Masters,” a free wellness workshop for rising middle schoolers on Saturday, August 3rd at The Skills Center.
The inaugural event will focus on mental and emotional well-being, featuring keynote speaker and mental health advocate Nate Evans Jr., as well as distinguished psychologist and executive coach Dr. Nekeshia Hammond, who will offer guidance to parents on navigating their child’s emotional health.
“We are excited to introduce the Mind Masters program, a project we’ve diligently developed since Vincent’s untimely passing,” said Lindsey Jackson, Jackson In Action 83 Foundation co-founder. “Our approach has been thoughtful and meticulous, focusing on the sensitive, yet vital, issue of mental health among young people. With this initiative, we are proud to extend our support to all youth in Tampa, beyond our traditional focus on military families, ensuring everyone has the resources to thrive both mentally and emotionally.”

The event also marks the third anniversary of Vincent Jackson Day, honoring the legacy of the foundation’s co-founder, who tragically passed away in 2021. August 3rd was chosen to celebrate and remember the beloved former NFL player who proudly wore the number 83.
