CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A 46-year-old man from Inverness was killed early this morning when a tree fell on his car. The accident occurred around 1:30 AM on East Parsons Point Road, east of North Tomberlin Point.

The man was driving a Ford Taurus eastbound when the tree fell, causing a fatal collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the incident but have not yet released any further details.
