TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation surrounding the death of an inmate.
Deputies say Sasi Poreddy, 24, an inmate at the Falkenburg Road Jail, was discovered unresponsive by staff on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
Poreddy was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

Poreddy’s next of kin were notified of his death.
Poreddy was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and charged with one count of Use of a Child In a Sexual Performance. The investigation is ongoing. The Public Affairs Office will release any further updates
