ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A portion of Interstate 275 in St. Petersburg will be temporarily closed for construction.

The southbound I-275 ramp to 22nd Avenue South (Exit 19) will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, November 25th and Tuesday, November 26th.

During these closures, southbound I-275 motorists will need to exit at Exit 21 (28th Street South) and follow a detour route to reach 22nd Avenue South. Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be in place to guide drivers.

This temporary closure is part of a larger project to repair concrete pavement on I-275 between 54th Avenue South and 5th Avenue South. The entire project is expected to be completed in early 2026.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and expect delays during the closure periods.
