Hunter Biden has refiled a lawsuit against Fox News, alleging the network violated New York’s revenge porn law by using explicit images of him without his consent in a streaming series called “The Trial of Hunter Biden.”

This legal action, filed in Manhattan state court, mirrors a similar lawsuit that was dropped in July.

The Fox Nation series dramatizes a fictional trial where Hunter Biden faces fabricated charges, unlike his real-life felony firearm conviction. The lawsuit claims the unauthorized use of his private images is illegal and names current and former Fox executives as defendants.

This lawsuit was initially filed and then dropped in July, coinciding with President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race.

“Hunter Biden’s now second lawsuit against FOX News shopped to a different court is once again devoid of any merit. The core complaint stems from a 2022 streaming program that Mr. Biden did not take issue with until sending a letter in late April 2024,” said a FOX News Spokesperson to the Tampa Free Press. “The program was removed within days of that letter, in an abundance of caution, but Mr. Biden is a public figure who has been the subject of multiple investigations and is now a convicted felon. Consistent with the First Amendment, FOX News has accurately covered the newsworthy events of his own making, and we look forward to vindicating our rights in court.”

The lawsuit also criticizes the series for portraying Hunter Biden facing charges he was never actually accused of, such as violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act and bribery.
