TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County EPG is set to meet today at 1:30 PM and expected to discuss additional language on the mask mandate in place.

The EPG is looking to amend the language in the mandate saying that the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office can investigate any potential violation of the mask mandate and enforce the order. Citizens who are found not following the mandate could be subject to fines of up to $150. This language would exclude those who are exempt from medical conditions.

The EPG will also discuss language that would have businesses post signage at all entrances and add language about asking a person not wearing a mask, to identify a specific health condition.

The complete executive order, passed by the EPG is below.
