After much debate, the Face Mask requirement in Hillsborough County was shot down by a vote of 2-6.

Commissioner Snively, Mayor Lott, Commissioner Murman, Mayor Ross, and Sheriff Chad Chronister, and Commissioner Miller all voting no on the face mask requirement in Hillsborough County.

This follows the curfew order being rescinded unanimously today by a vote of 8-0.

    This is good to see – maybe a turning. It looked like the members of the Emergency Group had been deferring to Mayor Castor by giving her everything she wanted. NO MORE! Castor lost the curfew vote and now lost by 2 to 6 on the face masks. IMHO, face masks are a good idea and I wear one in public. But that is my choice, not the choice of a tyrannical Tampa mayor (and I don’t even live in Tampa). We should not give up our constitutional rights even during this crisis.
