HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. - Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a commercial fire at Maaco Bodyshop located at 9801 Palm River Road.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a commercial fire at Maaco Bodyshop located at 9801 Palm River Road.
Officials say the first unit arrived on the scene at 4:48 pm to find smoke and flames showing from the roof.
The crew pulled a handline and made an interior attack, quickly knocking down the fire. The fire was isolated to the area directly adjacent to the paint room’s ventilation system.
Crews are currently working on the roof and cutting through the interior ventilation chimney, looking for additional fire or smoldering.
No injuries were reported from civilians or firefighters, and an HCFR Fire Investigator is on the scene.
