HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A Ridge Manor man, George Philip Foord, 54, has been arrested on multiple counts of lewd acts with a minor stemming from alleged incidents that occurred 20 to 25 years ago.

The charges were filed by the Huntington Beach Police Department in California, where the alleged crimes took place. Detectives there recently received reports from multiple victims who claimed they had been sexually abused by Foord as minors.

Hernando County Sheriff’s Office deputies apprehended Foord at a hotel in Brooksville on November 21st, 2024.

A search warrant was executed at his Ridge Manor residence, where evidence related to the alleged crimes was collected.

Foord is currently facing extradition to California to face the charges.
