The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a shooting and robbery in Riverview, Florida.

On January 30, 2021, around 3:30 a.m., an unknown black male, holding a handgun, entered the Mobil Gas Station at 11292 Boyette Road and demanded money.

The store clerk refused to hand over any money, and at this time, the suspect walked around the counter.

The two men then came face-to-face, and the clerk punched the suspect. As the suspect was falling backward as a result of the hit, he intentionally discharged one round, striking the store clerk in the arm.

The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and ran northwest through the parking lot.
