TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire located on I-275 Northbound at the Fowler Ave. overpass at approximately 10:35 am on Tuesday.

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire located on I-275 Northbound at the Fowler Ave. overpass at approximately 10:35 am on Tuesday.

Officials say the vehicle’s driver was Super Bowl champion Running Back Leonard Fournette, formerly of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Officials say Engine 11 was on the scene and reported one vehicle with flames coming from the engine compartment.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and Fournette was able to escape from the vehicle unharmed.

I-275 traffic was halted in the northbound direction near the Fowler Ave. exit until the fire was brought under control.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.
