On Friday, Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies were in pursuit of a Silver Sedan in Silver Springs Shores. The vehicle turned down Lake Court, which is a dead-end street.

The suspect crashed into a chain link fence between two houses. The suspect got out of the vehicle and ran on foot along Maricamp Road towards Emerald Road before he was captured in some bushes.

The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Bernardo M. Medina.

He was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail. He is being held on a $4,000.00 dollar bond.
