According to the state Division of Elections website, three newly elected state House members have set the stage for running again in 2024.

Rep. Doug Bankson, R-Apopka, opened a campaign account Monday to seek re-election in 2024 in House District 39 in Orange and Seminole counties.

Also, Rep. Berny Jacques, R-Seminole, opened an account to run again in Pinellas County’s House District 59. In South Florida, Dania Beach Democrat Hillary Cassel opened an account to run again in Broward County’s House District 101.

Meanwhile, Rep. Fiona McFarland, a Sarasota Republican who was first elected to the House in 2020, opened an account Monday to run for a third term in Sarasota County’s House District 73.
