HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A Lakeland man was found dead on the side of I-75, and a search for a suspect is underway.

According to investigators, troopers were notified by a passerby of a body lying on the northbound shoulder of I-75 near the 247 Milepost in Hillsborough County. 

Upon arrival, a 55-year-old Lakeland man was located deceased.

Evidence indicates the victim was struck by a large red-colored vehicle, possibly a commercial vehicle.
