Family and police continue to follow a cold case involving Brooklyn Peck, who was 21 years old when she disappeared 6 1/2 years ago after meeting someone in the early morning hours.

At around 2 a.m. on Oct 26, 2015, Brooklyn left the home she was staying at off Hillside Drive to meet someone at the Sunoco gas station on US 19.

She never returned and was never heard from again. Peck had intended to return home for a court date she had on Oct. 27, as evidenced by the clothes she had laid out before she left.

The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are considered suspicious. She was known to visit the Leisure Lane and Van Doren Avenue area.

Peck is 4’11, 100-115 lbs., brown hair and hazel eyes. She has a large clock tattoo on her right chest, a large skull tattoo on her left chest, and multiple other tattoos on her arms and legs as well as piercings.

Peck was involved in sex work and drug misuse at the time of her disappearance. Many leads related to these two factors have been followed up on with negative results.

“When telling the story of her disappearance, it is important to note that Brooklyn was much more than the addiction she was experiencing or the work she was engaged in,” said New Port Richey police in a social post. “The first two pictures in this post are what Brooklyn looked like at the time of her disappearance. The other photos were provided by the family. Her childhood photos show her going to Busch Gardens, baking cookies, and blowing kisses to the camera. Her teenage photos show her grabbing Starbucks and playing mini golf. We wanted to show the public a better picture of who Brooklyn was –full of life with a big personality and a family that cared about her.”

Her family describes Brooklyn as a nice, personable, caring human being. She was a loving daughter, niece, cousin, and sister. Her mom told us that Brooklyn loved when the family was together – they would walk trails and go fishing. Brooklyn always went above and beyond, and she was a friend to everyone. Her family deeply misses her.

New Port Richey detectives are still actively searching for Peck and appreciate any help the public can provide. If you have any information on what happened to Peck, please contact Detective Corporal Joseph Ioppolo at 727-232-8905.
