Five Dogs Die In New Port Richey House Fire

PASCO COUNTY, FL. - Pasco Fire Rescue battled a structure fire Tuesday afternoon in New Port Richey and attempted to save eight dogs from the home.

PASCO COUNTY, FL. – Pasco Fire Rescue battled a structure fire Tuesday afternoon in New Port Richey and attempted to save eight dogs from the home.

According to officials, crews arrived at a fully involved home with 8 dogs inside, in the 4500 Block of Weasel Drive Tuesday.

Fire crews worked quickly to knock the fire down and attempted to rescue the animals. Firefighters say 5 dogs died in the fire and 3 others have injuries.

No word yet on any other injuries or the extent of the damage to the home. We will update this story as those details are released.
