HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – FEMA’s Disaster Recovery Center, which offers federal assistance for Hurricane Ian survivors, will close on Friday, Feb. 17.

The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) opened an office in October at Hillsborough Community College at The Regent, 6437 Watson Rd., Riverview, FL 33578, to help all Florida residents with federal assistance after Hurricane Ian, which struck the state in September 2022.

The Disaster Recovery Center supports Florida residents impacted by Hurricane Ian by helping them with federal assistance, and disaster loans, updating applications, and by introducing available resources.

Staff at the DRC can assist with submitting a late application, supporting documents, appealing a denial letter, appealing a case closed letter, or appealing for additional funds. You do not have to be a Hillsborough County resident to visit the DRC or to receive assistance.
