TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is working to identify a man who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early Sunday morning.

At 3:27 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, a white male suspect entered the 7-Eleven gas station located at 6016 Gunn Highway in Tampa armed with a black handgun. The suspect demanded money from the clerk. He then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register. The clerk was not injured during the incident.

The suspect, who is approximately 5’10” to 6′ tall and 165 to 200 lbs, was last seen wearing a black mask, black and orange gloves, a black hoodie, dark blue shorts, and black sneakers.

The robbery was recorded on store surveillance.

“In the process of stealing from a business, this individual unnecessarily caused a store employee to fear for his life by holding him at gunpoint. We want to find him immediately, and we’re asking for the public’s help,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “No tip is too small. If you recognize the suspect or have information related to this incident, call HCSO at 813-247-8200 or Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).”
