LAKELAND, Fla. – A tragic accident occurred on East Memorial Boulevard in Lakeland on Wednesday morning, resulting in the death of one driver and serious injuries to two others.
According to police, around 10:31 am, a red Toyota Celica collided head-on with a grey Ford pickup truck after the Toyota crossed into oncoming traffic.
Emergency responders were unable to save the Toyota’s driver, identified as 39-year-old Moises Perez Martinez of Auburndale, while the occupants of the Ford were hospitalized.

The road was partially closed for several hours during the investigation.
