CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue are on the scene of a crash on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.
The preliminary investigation shows that two motorcycles and one car were involved. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and another was taken to a local hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Eastbound lanes were closed for several hours as the investigation is conducted. Westbound lanes had been closed for the arrival of a medical helicopter.
The crash occurred at 3 p.m, police say.
