DADE CITY, Fla. – On Friday night, July 5th, 2024, a man drove himself to Advent Health Dade City after being shot multiple times near the intersection of 11th Street and Magnolia Ave. Dade City Police Officers quickly responded to the scene, establishing a crime scene and collecting evidence.
The victim informed officers that he had arranged a drug deal with a 16-year-old juvenile at the location. During the meeting, the juvenile suspect pulled out a handgun and fired at the victim as he drove away.
Through investigation, detectives identified the suspect, who the victim positively identified. The suspect was later located and arrested without incident at a residence in Zephyrhills.

The juvenile suspect is charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and has been transferred to the Pasco County Juvenile Assessment Center. The victim has since been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
Dade City Police worked in collaboration with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office STAR Team to locate and apprehend the suspect.
