ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – At approximately 7:30 pm, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to a large warehouse located at 2350 31st St S, with heavy smoke inside the building.
Due to the size of the building and the amount of smoke, crews started more units with a 2nd alarm.
Currently, the building has been cleared of the smoke, and the fire has been held back with installed fire sprinklers, still using water to cool the area.

This is still an active scene; no cause has been indicated yet. Investigators are on the scene waiting for the building to be safe enough to enter.
