Three Florida teens were stranded on the Yellow River Tuesday night when deputies came to their rescue.
The trio told deputies they were tubing, then it became too dark to see. The teens were concerned they were surrounded by alligators.
An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office small boat was launched, operated by Deputy Elliott Howard and K-9 Handler Brooks.
The boat made it a mile and a half up the river before the river was impassible.
Both deputies got out, walked the shores, and swam up the river to find the three individuals.
The trio was located and escorted safely back to the boat launch.
