TAMPA, Fla. – Due to an emergency water main break, the southbound lane of West Commerce Street between West Chisholm Street and South Sherill Street will be closed starting at 9 a.m. today.
The Tampa Water Department crews are working diligently to repair the break and restore normal water service as quickly as possible.
Barricades and signage will be in place to direct traffic and ensure safety. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity.

The lane closure is anticipated to be lifted by 5 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 10th; however, the work schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions and the complexity of the repair.
