CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – The issue with the main emergency system has been corrected.

“Our call center is no longer experiencing delays with incoming calls. Thank you to everyone for your patience,” said Citrus County Sheriff’s Office.

Due to an issue with the emergency system, Citrus County 911 was experiencing a longer delay in the connection of incoming emergency calls.

Communication officials worked to set up a backup system to avoid these delays while fixing this issue.

As always, dial 9-1-1 for emergencies and 352-249-2790 for non-emergencies.
