Our Big Tech overlords show no sign of letting the cyber jackboot off the neck of conservatives any time soon.

In the space of a couple of days, three prominent conservatives were tossed off social media for violating the left’s dominant narrative.

GOP Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky denounced the “leftwing cretins” at YouTube who suspended his account for a week and forced him to take down a video that the company claimed promoted “medical misinformation.”

Paul said the video he posted quoted two-peer reviewed studies that found masks do not work in slowing the spread of COVID-19. YouTube disagreed.

“We removed content from Senator Paul’s channel for including claims that masks are ineffective in preventing the contraction or transmission of COVID-19, in accordance with our COVID-19 medical misinformation policies,” a YouTube spokesman said in a statement, according to The Washington Times.

The comments that offended YouTube’s gatekeepers stated, “Most of the masks you get over the counter don’t work. They don’t prevent infection,” and “Trying to shape human behavior isn’t the same as following the actual science which tells us that cloth masks don’t work.”

Regarding the latter, a former adviser to President Joe Biden, epidemiologist Michael Osterholm, said just last week that cloth masks are ineffective.

“I think this kind of censorship is very dangerous, incredibly anti-free speech, and truly anti-progress of science, which involves skepticism and argumentation to arrive at the truth,” Paul said in response to YouTube.

Meanwhile, COVID chatter also landed GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia in Twitter’s doghouse.

The platform suspended her account for a week for violating its “misleading information” policy.

As The Free Press reported on Tuesday, Greene tweeted, “The FDA should not approve the covid vaccines. There are too many reports of infection & spread of #Covid19 among vaccinated people.”

“These vaccines are failing & do not reduce the spread of the virus & neither do masks,” Greene added. “Vaccine mandates & passports violate individual freedoms.”

On Wednesday, The New York Times reported that, with the Delta variant, so-called “breaththrough” infections among vaccinated people are occurring at a higher rate than with the previous COVID virus.

“A modest percentage of people who are fully vaccinated will still get Covid-19 if they are exposed to the virus that causes it,” CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said. Still, the NYT noted that there is insufficient data to get the full picture.

The issue was sensitive enough that White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki recently berated a reporter for daring to ask how many staffers have sustained breakthrough infections.

The NYT also pointed out, “The vaccines were designed to prevent severe illness, not infection.” Yet the paper quoted the CDC’s own Aug. 2 report that revealed 7,500 vaccinated people have been hospitalized or died from breakthrough illnesses. In at least four states – Indiana, Maine, North Dakota, and Vermont – breakthrough infections account for at least 4 percent of all COVID deaths.

Finally, former MLB player Aubrey Huff was given a life sentence in Twitter jail after he violated the “misleading information” policy, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Tuesday.

Twitter, so far, has not explained what exactly Huff did to get on its bad side. The platform only said that the ban was for “repeated” violations of the misinformation policy. Huff also did not tell what happened.

In response, Huff took to Instagram: “[The] beta cucks and liberal Karen’s over @twitter hate when people speak the truth or make money [off] their liberal platforms! I consider this a badge of honor! I’ll never stop! Don’t you patriots!!”
