HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A single-story residence on Timber Pond Drive in Brandon caught fire on Sunday afternoon, July 14, 2024.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to 911 calls reporting smoke and fire in a bedroom around 2:49 PM.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the back of the house and quickly extinguished the flames within 10 minutes, preventing further damage to the property.

While no occupants were found inside the house during a search, one resident was later transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
