POLK COUNTY, FL. – A bomb scare led to an evacuation of a Walmart location in Lake Wales on Sunday.
Management at Walmart Store 858 located at 2000 FL-60 E, Lake Wales, FL 33898, evacuated the store of customers and associates after the bomb scare.
Molly Maj, Director, Digital Strategy & Brand Engagement for Walmart said, “The safety and security of our customers and associates is a top priority. After being alerted to a potential threat earlier today, management evacuated the store out of an abundance of caution and are working with local law enforcement to resolve the situation..”
Local law enforcement has concluded the preliminary investigation, with both fire officials and police leaving the scene.
