TAMPA, Fla. – A blown transformer is causing a power outage along the South Franklin St. and South Florida Av. corridors.

Tampa Police officers are on the scene manning the intersections and Tampa Electric workers are on the scene working to restore power, according to police.

An estimated time for the restoration of power is unknown at this time.

Commuters are encouraged to use caution and use alternate routes if possible.
