President Joe Biden allowed nearly 2 million illegal immigrants to stream into the country, yet he’s also making sure no one can trespass on his beloved second home on the Delaware shore.

The New York Post reported on Friday that the Secret Service awarded a $457,000 contract to a company to build a security fence around Biden’s beach house in Rehoboth, Delaware.

Details about the fence and the need for it were not immediately available, the Post added, as both the Secret Service and its parent agency, the Department of Homeland Security, declined to comment.

It is expected to be erected by Dec. 31.

But the news of the taxpayer-funded fence broke shortly after U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that it arrested 1.7 million illegal immigrants who flooded the country during the fiscal year that ended on Sept. 30.

That was the highest number in 35 years, and the second-highest in history, according to the Post.

It also does not include those who weren’t caught.

In 1986, the last time illegal immigration was that rampant, President Ronald Reagan signed a bill granting amnesty to 3 million illegal immigrants.

One irony about Biden installing a fence to protect his vacation home is that he refused to do the same for the country he governs.

One of Biden’s first acts as president was to overturn former President Donald Trump’s plan for a wall along the southern border.

As the border has descended into chaos, leaving governors of southwestern states to fend for themselves, Biden on Thursday suggested he’s been too busy to even look at the nation’s top foreign policy problem.

Asked about that during his CNN town hall on Thursday, Biden answered, “I’ve been there before, and I haven’t — I mean, I know it well. I guess I should go down. But the — but the whole point of it is: I haven’t had a whole hell of lot of time to get down.”

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki defended Biden’s claim that he has been to the border – in 2008, when he was Barack Obama’s running mate.

As for fencing, Biden also remained silent as Democrats walled off the U.S. Capitol from its own citizens, erecting a razor-wire-topped fence that stood for six months after the Jan. 6 riot.
