The deadline for Florida residents to apply for FEMA assistance after Hurricanes Milton and Helene has been extended to January 7, 2025.

Homeowners and renters who suffered losses due to these hurricanes may be eligible for financial assistance to cover temporary housing, home repairs, personal property replacement, and other uninsured or underinsured expenses.

To apply, you can visit DisasterAssistance.gov, download the FEMA app, or call 1-800-621-3362. Multilingual assistance is available, and you can also use relay services or captioned telephones.

If you experienced damage from both hurricanes, you must submit separate applications for each storm, specifying the dates of the losses.
