CLEARWATER, Fla. – As the anticipation builds for Clearwater’s annual Thanksgiving tradition, the Tampa Bay Turkey Trot, the city of Clearwater is advising residents of temporary road closures to ensure the safety of participants.
The Turkey Trot will feature a one-mile race and 5K that weaves through neighborhoods on the southeast side of Clearwater.
On Thursday, Nov. 23, from 6-10 a.m., plan to leave prior to the race start or plan for extra travel time if planning to travel on Keene Road, Hercules Avenue, Nursery Road, Eastfield Drive, Druid Road, Lakeview Road, Magnolia Drive, Sandra Drive, Sever Drive or Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard.
Residents along the course will also notice additional pedestrian traffic.
