In a world that seems ever-changing, there is at least one constant: the wokesters are never satisfied.
The Super Bowl LVI halftime show was likely the ‘wokest’ ever.
It featured Snoop Dogg, who once did a video in which he simulated the assassination of then-President Donald Trump. It featured Dr. Dre, one of the founders of the legendary rap group NWA, one of whose most famous songs was “F–K the Police.” And it featured Eminem, who took a knee for nearly a minute in the middle of the extravaganza to honor cop-hating race huckster Colin Kaepernick.
And still, it was not enough.
As the conservative website The Blaze reported, liberals on social media complained the crowd reaction to the halftime show was racist because in some circles the cheers for Eminem, who is white, were allegedly louder than those for Snoop, Dr. Dre, or the other black rappers who were in the show.
A mildly renowned Tik Tokker whose account name is “first-mate prance” tweeted, “I know that everyone in this bar being mostly silent for the halftime show until Eminem came on ISNT a hate crime…but it feels like it is.”
That got more than 8,000 likes.
The Blaze tallied some of the comments that agreed with first-mate.
“Yup, the number of people who said the only performance they liked was Eminem was telling. So it’s not rap they don’t like clearly!” one replied.
Another answered that the “crowd was the loudest when Eminem was performing lmfao. i was so mad.” A third added that cheering for Eminem was “most definitely” a hate crime, as someone else chipped in that the response was “racially motivated without doubt.”
But that wasn’t the end of the can’t-win-for-losing streak the NFL has going with its liberal critics.
MSNBC leftist Joy Reid on Monday claimed that the NFL, 70 percent of whose players are black and which faces a lawsuit from a black former coach who claims an affirmative action hiring rule was not being enforced strictly enough, seeks to “sanitize blackness.” “At this point, taking a knee is not nearly as provocative as it was five years ago,” Reid complained, adding that Kaepernick should have been in the halftime event.
When the halftime show was discussed on “The View” on Monday, co-host Sunny Hostin, another black militant, said it was “ridiculous” that the NFL has no black owners and only one black head coach – and, she griped, “Colin Kaepernick still doesn’t have a job.”
“I’m still very, very disappointed that the NFL hasn’t been able to do better, right?” said Hostin. “I mean, they’re allowing people to kneel, but they’re not really doing the work in terms of racial equity. They’re just not.”
