The vehicle involved was a 2008 Mercury SUV that was being driven by a 21-year-old female, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“This is an ongoing investigation, and we are asking that any witnesses please get in touch with Traffic Homicide Investigator Officer Scott Faugno at 727-937-6151 or sfaugno@tspd.us,” said TSPD.

The lanes of US19 are now reopened; please be patient and take care as traffic returns to normal.
