PASCO COUNTY, FL. – A man has died in a Lutz house fire that happened overnight, according to Pasco Fire Rescue.

At approximately midnight firefighters responded to the 20800 Blk of South Grove Loop in Lutz. When firefighters arrived to the scene and reported a double-wide mobile home with heavy fire and smoke showing.

Firefighters from Engine 23 performed an interior attack and search of the home. While performing their search and rescue operations, firefighters located an adult male inside the home.

Firefighters performed a rapid extrication of the patient found inside the home, and attempted life-saving measures outside the home. The male victim inside the home was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Fire investigators from Pasco County Fire Rescue, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, and The Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
