PASCO COUNTY, FL. – A 43-year-old St. Pete man was killed overnight crossing US-19 in Pasco County.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a car, driven by a 26-year-old St. Pete man was traveling southbound on US-19. Troopers said the St. Pete man was walking eastbound on Sea Ranch Drive, and at the intersection, in a
crosswalk entered the path of the car.

Investigators say the man was subsequently struck by the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.

Troopers continue to investigate the crash to determine the initial cause of the crash at the signalized intersection and we will update this story when further details are released.
