SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. – A 37-year-old Saint Petersburg man stabbed his brother during an altercation on Thursday.

According to Police, at 5:11 p.m., police officers responded to a house in the 2000 block of Queensboro Avenue South for a stabbing. 

Two adult brothers had gotten into an altercation. Jerald Nelson, 37, used a kitchen knife to stab his brother in the chest. He also threatened another family member.

The brother suffered a serious, but non-life threatening, injury and was treated at a hospital.

Nelson was arrested and faces two counts of attempted murder in the second degree.
