CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police detectives have charged a 27-year-old woman with assisting a murder suspect who was on the run.

Angela Brandes, 27, was charged with accessory after the fact. She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on Thursday night, around the same time as Jarvis Miles.

Miles is charged with second-degree murder in the Tuesday morning stabbing death of Samir Dauti at the Sunset Lounge.

Detectives had been searching for Miles for more than 48 hours, and Brandes is accused of assisting him financially and with transportation.

She helped find a place for them to stay and also arranged for a car rental. When friends learned of the murder warrant and asked why she was helping him, she responded, “Because I love him.”
