TAMPA, Fla. – All lanes of the Howard Frankland Bridge are now open to all traffic – three hours ahead of schedule.

Crews were able to successfully and safely remove the 4th Street N bridge overpass over I-275. The southbound I-275 Exit 32 (4th St N) will now remain closed while crews construct a new ramp at the same location to accommodate the widening of I-275.

This new exit ramp should open back up to traffic in late 2021. The 4th St. N to I-275 N ramp is unchanged.

This closure was necessary for crews to remove the 4th Street North (SR 687) bridge over I-275 as part of the Gateway Expressway project.
