LAKELAND, Fla. – A 27-year-old Lakeland man, Anthony Dorado, was arrested on Tuesday, November 26th, following a road rage incident that escalated into a threat.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 PM in the parking lot of a Publix supermarket located at 7352 Kathleen Road. A minor traffic dispute between two vehicles escalated when Dorado, a passenger in one of the vehicles, exited the vehicle and approached the other driver.

Dorado allegedly threatened the victim by lifting his shirt to reveal a handgun tucked into his waistband and said, “I’ve got something for you.”

Polk County Sheriff’s deputies later recovered the firearm from the vehicle.

Dorado has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and improper exhibition of a firearm.
