Police quickly identified the suspect as 31-year-old Thomas Sapp. After an intense search involving the Tampa Police Department and the US Marshals Task Force, Sapp was located in a car on County Line Road over I-275 Thursday morning.

As officers attempted to stop traffic and approach Sapp, he jumped from the overpass, landing on the interstate below and narrowly avoiding being hit by a semi-truck. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he is in stable condition.
