A Texas man is facing murder charges after he walked into a Wendy’s restaurant covered in blood and with visible stab wounds, later confessing to killing his mother.

On October 9th, police in Texas City responded to a Wendy’s on Palmer Highway where they encountered 30-year-old Johnathan Taylor. Taylor, who was covered in blood and had stab wounds on his arms, initially claimed he had been robbed.

However, Taylor later admitted to police that he had attacked his 68-year-old mother, Regina McIntyre, at their home. Officers conducted a welfare check at the residence and found McIntyre on the kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds.

Both Taylor and McIntyre were transported to a hospital, where McIntyre tragically succumbed to her injuries. Taylor was treated for his wounds and subsequently arrested and charged with murder. He is being held in the Galveston County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
