HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 15-year-old Riverview High School student, Benjamin Thoung Nguyen, has been arrested by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) after he threatened to “shoot up” Barrington Middle School in a group text message.
HCSO’s School Threat Assessment and Response Team responded promptly to the high school and arrested Nguyen.

Currently, detectives do not believe that Nguyen has access to any firearms.
