The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), reigning champions of the American Association of State Troopers (AAST) “Best Looking Cruiser” competition, is back to defend their title! Calling on all Floridians to rally and vote for FHP’s out-of-this-world entry, the agency aims to rocket past the competition once again.
Voting is open from July 15th to July 29th, and every vote counts! The winning cruiser will be featured on the cover of the 2025 AAST calendar, with proceeds benefiting the AAST Foundation, which provides educational scholarships for dependents of troopers.
This year, FHP’s submission pays homage to the legendary Delta IV Heavy rocket, a symbol of Florida’s innovation and commitment to excellence. Captured at Cape Canaveral during the rocket’s final launch, the photo showcases FHP’s 2019 Dodge Challenger alongside this iconic piece of history.

“FHP is excited to participate in the AAST ‘Best Looking Cruiser’ competition and we look forward to seeing what the other states have to offer,” said FLHSMV Executive Director Dave Kerner. “This year, our cruiser pays tribute to the legendary Delta IV Heavy rocket while showcasing our commitment to public safety and service. We encourage everyone to support us by casting their vote and helping us defend our title as the best-looking cruiser in the nation.”
