CITRUS COUNTY, Fla.– A 57-year-old Beverly Hills woman has suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on North Forest Ridge Boulevard Friday afternoon.

The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was riding a southbound Road King Harley Davidson motorcycle modified with two rear tires. South of West Pentstemon Court, the left rear tire malfunctioned and went flat.

The sudden deflation caused the rider to lose control of the motorcycle. The bike veered off the road and entered the median, where it collided with a tree.

First responders arrived on the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

Correction Note: The original report from the Florida Highway Patrol stated that the woman suffered fatal injuries but later updated the report that the woman suffered serious injuries in the crash.
