WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – A man crossing Wells Road was struck and killed on Monday at around 9:20 a.m., troopers say.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Ford Mustang, driven by a 45-year-old Wesley Chapel woman, was traveling westbound on Wells Road.

Troopers say east of Boyette Road, a man crossing the roadway entered the path of and was struck by the vehicle. 

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the collision. Troopers say the man has yet to be identified.
