DADE CITY, Fla. – A 47-year-old Dade City man died after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing US-301 overnight.

Florida Highway Patrol reports that a Dodge Ram, driven by a 44-year-old Ridge Manor man, was traveling northbound on US-301.

Troopers say south of Clinton Avenue, a 47-year-old Dade City man, walking eastbound across the highway, entered the path of and was struck by the vehicle. 

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
