HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A man has died after being struck by a pickup truck while riding a bicycle on US-301 Friday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, around 7:58 pm on Friday, a Ford F150 driven by a 46-year-old Tampa man was traveling northbound on US-301.
Troopers say just south of Ayersworth Glen Boulevard, the truck overtook and collided with a bicyclist traveling northbound near the median.

The adult male bicyclist, who has not yet been identified, was transported to a hospital, where he later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
